⚠️ We Desperately Need Volunteers! The Williamsburg PTO urgently needs volunteers—not just for upcoming events, but also for the 2026–2027 PTO Board. Planning is already underway, and without your help, some events may need to be scaled back or cancelled. Our PTO is a team of parents, caregivers, teachers, and staff dedicated to supporting students and building a strong school community. February is an exciting month for the PTO, starting with Read-a-Thon Month, our biggest fundraiser of the year! The funds raised support field trips, school-wide events, assemblies, students in need, and more. Be sure to log your child’s daily reading minutes through February 8th and check the Read-a-Thon link above to see all the amazing prizes your child or class could win.
Parents can also enjoy a relaxed evening at Parents Night Out at Penrose on Friday, February 6th, from 7:00 to 11:00 PM. It’s a perfect opportunity to unwind, meet new WES parents, or catch up with old friends. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and don’t forget to bring cash for the raffle prizes! Winners will be drawn at 10 PM—you don’t need to be present to win.
On February 11th, skip the cooking and support WES PTO at Aurelio’s Pizza—dine in or take out, mention you’re from WES, and 15% of your purchase will be donated back to the school.
Students are invited to grab a glow stick and dance the night away at the Together We’re Glowing Sock Hop Dance on Friday, February 13, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the WES Gym, with snacks available for $1 (cash only).
The fun continues beyond school walls—cheer on the Chicago Steel at a special game, enjoy a Trading Card Set Giveaway for the first 500 fans, and stay after for full-team post-game autographs.
February is packed with opportunities to support WES and create unforgettable memories for our students. Your involvement matters—even a small commitment makes a big difference.
