Dear WES Families,
Hello WES – how is it October already?! This month is going to be a busy one, and we can’t wait to share all the fun coming up. First, we’re kicking things off with our Walk to School event. Students are encouraged to walk, bike, or roll to school, and our mayor, Mr. Burns, will be meeting at Pepper Valley Pool at 7:40 AM to walk with anyone who wants to join. Don’t forget to grab your sticker and sign the poster in the front of the building—the class with the most participation will win the Golden Shoe Award!
Next up, our fall Book Fair will take place October 8–10. Be sure to check the events page for all the details and sign up to volunteer if you can. This favorite event wouldn’t be possible without our amazing volunteers. Then, on October 16 at 5:30 PM, we’ll kick off our Trunk or Treat event. Costumes are optional, but a good time is guaranteed for everyone who joins in the fun.
Later in the month, dinner plans will be easy on October 22 when we host our first WES Restaurant Night at The Walrus Room. When you mention WES while ordering, 20% of your total bill will be donated back to our PTO—don’t forget to check out their kids’ menu! Finally, we’ll wrap up the month with our classroom Halloween parties on October 31. Volunteer sign-ups close on October 3, and please remember that only approved volunteers may attend—no additional guests or siblings are permitted.
October is full of opportunities to connect, celebrate, and support our school community—we can’t wait to see you there! 🎃
